Freestyle Motocross is awesome, riders perform mental jumps and stunts to impress judges (hell, and their friends). It’s got to be one of the craziest sports on the planet! Riders go over a series of jumps and perform tricks and flicks, most of these tricks like second nature to the experienced Freestyle Motocross rider but to anybody watching it looks like these guys are crazy. Watching FMX live is a gut wrenching experience, especially when something does go wrong (it happens you know). If you’ve never seen Freestyle Motocross before then I suggest you get online to one of the many video sharing sites and check it out. Here are a few of my favourite Freestyle Motocross tricks:-
- Dead Body - The rider keeps his body in front of the bike and horizontal while holding on to the handle bars.
- Surfer – Does what it says on the tin, the rider gets into a surfing position whilst keeping his hands on the bars.
- Kiss of Death – Looks awesome, rider gets the bike as vertical as possible whilst making sure his legs point straight up.
- Superman – Another one that is just like you’d think. Rider holds onto the bars and throws his feet back, looking like a flying superman.
- Tsunami – A bit like the Kiss of Death but this time doing a hand stand while the bike stays horizontal.
